Nuts.com + Kopper's at Sweets & Snacks
The Challenge: After a last minute product line discontinuation, we had rapidly shifted our retail channel sales strategy to focus on private label, unifying two formerly intendent brands. With no budget earmarked for additional booth investment, we needed to make a low-budget messaging shift for the 2026 Sweets & Snacks Expo — an important industry event with over 15K attendees.
The Action: I developed a messaging hierarchy and brand copy framing Kopper's Chocolate as a subsidiary of Nuts.com, without losing the historical clout of Kopper's 100+ years in the industry, nor their relationships at this particular trade show. With no budget for new equipment, I worked closely with the creative team to design new coverings for our existing frames. I complimented the mini rebrand with new collateral, product samples, business cards, and tee shirts that helped establish the link between Kopper's and Nuts.com, positioning both as key players in the retail sweets and snacks segments, respectively.
The Result: With just a few thousand invested — the same location and configuration as prior year — we achieved a 30% YoY increase in inbound leads, including several extremely high quality contacts leading to bids for a $1.5MM+ gifting exclusive in club and a clamshell private label big with a national retailer.
